I received an error message when trying to change the company name on characters but I'm not.

I'm here to help you change your company name, david.

May I know the exact error message you've encountered and the page you're seeing this? It will help us determine its cause and provide accurate steps to resolve this. Adding a screenshot would be a great help, too.

In the meantime, let's ensure the company name only contains accepted symbols. I've listed them below.

  • Alphanumeric: A-Z, a-z, 0-9
  • Comma: ,
  • Dot or period: .
  • Question mark: ?
  • At symbol: @
  • Ampersand: &
  • Exclamation point: !
  • Number/pound sign: #
  • Single quote: '
  • Tilde: ~
  • Asterisk: *
  • Space: ( )
  • Underscore: _
  • Minus sign/hyphen: -
  • Semi-colon: ;
  • Plus sign: +

If you included unaccepted characters, edit the name to fix the error. I've added a screenshot below for your visual reference.

In case you haven't used any of these symbols, I suggest accessing your account using a private window. This way, we can determine whether this is a browser cache-related issue that affects the appearance and functionality of your account. Here are the keyboard shortcuts:

  • Safari: Command + Shift + N
  • Google Chrome: CTRL + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Edge: CTRL + Shift + N

Once the error is gone, clear the browser's cache. Doing so deletes all the data from your browser and optimizes its performance. Using other supported browsers also helps us verify if this is a browser-specific issue.

Additionally, QuickBooks Online allows you to manage your subscription, whether you need to update the card on file, change your plan, or view your billing history. Doing so ensures that the software meets your evolving business needs.

Please keep us posted if you need additional assistance updating your business info. It's always our priority to provide the help you need.

I received an error message when trying to change the company name on characters but I'm not.

I'd love to show you the error message but I can't paste it in this box.

I keep getting  a message that image upload failed.

It's saying I've tried to type over 300 characters in the company name box under customize forms; invoices, update. When I've only typed about 20ish.

Now it won't even let me type more than 15.
