Hi there, andylake.
Thanks for dropping by the Community, I would suggest setting up your gift cards as items under Cost of Goods Sold (COGS.) Use Non-inventory as the type of item. Doing this will track both sales and the purchase accounts assigned to the Gift Cards. Here's how:
- Go to the Gear icon.
- Under Lists, select Products and Services.
- Click New.
- Click Non-inventory.
- Enter the necessary information and make sure to enter an Cost of Good Sold account as your account.
- Select Save and close.
