If I had zero sum fraud transactions come into QB Self Employed from my bank, how do I categorize those so they don't affect my tax info that gets forwarded to turbotax?

If I had zero sum fraud transactions come into QB Self Employed from my bank, how do I categorize those so they don't affect my tax info that gets forwarded to turbotax?

I have a workaround, contact53.

 

What I can suggest is to exclude those fraud transactions so it won't affect your tax calculation. You can follow these steps on how to do it:

  1. Go to the Transactions tab.
  2. Locate and check the transaction.
  3. Select Exclude.

It'd also be best to seek some guidance from your accountant to know the best way to deal with these transactions.
