I don't think was a good idea to remove the import tool on Invoice Templates!
First of all you take out the personality of your client. We look like all the same now thanks to quickbooks!
So the ones who really cares about and even paid marketing teams to develop forms with the company personality and colors can just consider this budget "bad debit".... Not nice!
And second, there are more than just be a pretty "face" to your customer! There are custom necessary fields. There are companies that need to have fields like Time out for delivery, Employee who picked the goods, Name of the driver goods are loaded ... Verifier Name!
So what do we fix those problems now?
Your template tool is awful. There are no way to put custom notes and text to the invoice!
You must put the import tool back ..... really!!!!!
I hear your sentiments, @Lembi.
I understand the importance of personalizing your invoices according to your preferences. This way, you’ll be able to add the necessary fields for your data in the template. Let me turnaround this experience by walking you through sharing your suggestion to the right department.
I do agree with you that adding more customizations and functionality would make the program better and more flexible. We want to ensure our users get the most out of QuickBooks. With this, I encourage you to send your idea to our developers.
Here’s how:
Please know that we’re unable to provide a specific time frame as to when this feature will be available.
You'll want to track your suggestion through this website. You can also visit our blog to keep up with all of our recent events and developments.
I've included a detailed resource about working with custom fields that may come in handy moving forward: Create & edit custom fields.
Please know that you can personalize your sales forms that suites your business needs. You can use this article as your guide: Customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online.
Fill me in if you have other concerns apart from importing invoice templates. I'll be around if you need help. Stay safe and take care always
I already had share my concerns with FEEDBACK area on website!
But you just got an "ok your feedback was submitted" and nothing else! No case number no deadline to respond your problem .. nothing!
About custom fields I already create 3 and that's maximum you can do!
And there is no way to write a text on invoice (unless is on message boxes - 2) so it is not placed where I wish it would!
Not working! No response,... Awful
Hello,
I want to create a Gift Receipt Template outside of QuickBooks, and then I want to import it into QuickBooks. Is this possible?
I ask if it is possible, because under the help menu the instructions for importing indicate that this feature is good if you want to share templates between separate QuickBooks files. I do not see any importing instructions or criteria. I plan to develop an XML file for the Gift Receipt Template, but before I do, I want to know if importing is possible, so I can proceed.
The reason why I want to import a Gift Receipt Template is because, the templates inside of QuickBooks do not have both Quantity Sold and Unit of Measure available.
We hear your opinions and understand your company's needs, Enrique Garcia.
Personalizing or updating your template can only be done within QuickBooks. You may consider looking for a third-party application that integrates with QBO and helps you do the tasks.
You can look through the Apps menu in your QBO account to find one that meets your business requirements.
I also suggest sending your idea directly to our developers to let them be aware of the feature and might consider adding them to their future product enhancements.
On the other hand, you may read our Help articles for future reference: Help articles for QBO.
Please feel free to leave a response in the comment section below if there is anything else I can do to help. Have a good one.
Hello,
Do the apps integrate with the QuickBooks desktop version? I have a POS 19.0 Pro Level desktop system.
Please advise.
Also, I have left product suggestions for more than three years.
Thank you for joining the thread, Enrique.
To sort things out, the Apps feature can't integrate with the QuickBooks Desktop (QBO) version, this is only available for QuickBooks Online (QBO) on searching for third-party applications.
Currently, only the Point of Sale can be linked to desktop versions of QuickBooks. And, for your QuickBooks Point of Sale system to run smoothly, ensure that the list of hardware is compatible with the device you've used.
Feel free to read this article for more details: Hardware to use with QuickBooks Point of Sale.
If you want to learn how to run several applications at the same time in your system. You can read through this article: System requirements for QuickBooks Desktop Point of Sale 19.0.
For additional questions about QuickBooks Desktop integrations, never hesitate to reply to this post. Keep safe and have a good day!
