Importing Invoice Data to QB Desktop 2020

I am unable to import an iif file into QB2020. Here is the error file I get when I try to import:

The format is per the QB IIF Import Kit. What am I doing wrong?

Importing Invoice Data to QB Desktop 2020

I've never seen the error file described this way in text.  Does it actually contain the little "\t" characters instead of the actual tab character? If so, that is the issue.
