I purchased QB Premier 2021 from Amazon for desktop version (QuickBooks Desktop Premier 2021 Accounting Software for Small Business - 2 User [PC Download]). After download and install, the "Open Quickbooks" button was grey and does not work. There was no icon on desktop or anywhere, searched on Start cannot find it. In Programs "QuickBooks Runtime Redistributable" and "QuickBooks Server 2021" was added, not the Quickbooks name like my 2017 version. I do not know how can I get it to work.
So searched and installed QuickBooks Tool Hub from (https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/install-new-products/fix-quickbooks-desktop-instal...). There is icon on desktop for QuickBooks Tool Hub, but when I open it, it circled a bit and disappeared. No action after waited a bit. Tried many times. No error message.
Can somebody gave me some idea, how can I solve these issues? Thank you so much for your time and help!!
When you were installing it, if you selected the “Custom and Network options” setting, you would have 3 options to pick. Did you choose "I will NOT be using QuickBooks on this computer,” ?

I have tried to manually Repair Microsoft MSXML (https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/product-preferences/repair-microsoft-msxml/01/2019...), then installed the QB again, it worked. And I also used your suggestion to choose the “Custom and Network options” during the installation.
However, after installation, the icon appeared on desktop, choose the Manufacturing option, and the icon updated, then the QB system disappeared again. It all looks like it is ready to be used, but when I clicked the icon again, it showed the green circle and then disappeared.
The QuickBooks advisor said, that's all they can do, I need to consult a trained IT professional for further help. So maybe this is just a problem of my computer.
I have tried other two laptops, they were working fine. So I guess the solution will be, time to change the computer.

We are having the same issue for our nonprofit premier edition. First with the 2019 edition, where quickbooks would do the green circle and then disappears. Then toohub would walk through the installation, but not do anything when we clicked on it. Now we have the 2021 edition of Quickbooks Premier nonprofit. It loads to selecting the company file, then says we need to install toolhub and run a repair on the company file. we do that, but again, tool hub installs, but then disappears. HELP please!
