Installed QB's Pro w/ Payroll 2021. It removed QB Pro 2020 and wiped out my company info. Can't retrieve.

I appreciate your time in installing our new version of QuickBooks. I'll make sure that you can get your company files.

QuickBooks Company files are not removed because it is locally saved on your computer.
I have a solution to locate your company file.

Here's how:

1. Open the file explorer.
2. Search for qbw or qbb file, check the name of the file, and select the most updated file.
3. Copy the location of the file.
4. Open your QuickBooks new version, Go to File.
5. Select Open or restore existing company file.
6. Browse the file, locate the qbw file, click open company file and then select Next.
7. Open the file and enter the password.
8. To open the file successfully to a new version, click update company file.
