Installed the quickbooks online desktop app for users, on my computer i see the desktop view toggle to change the layout. But on users PC, the toggle does not appear.

Cannot figure out how to get the toggle to show up. very frustrating

I completely understand your sentiments regarding the missing desktop view toggle that is available on your PC, but is missing for your users. It's an intentional change rolled out by Intuit. Let me explain more about it below.

 

Please know that the latest update has removed or inactivated the Desktop View flowchart access button for most users. Only the Accountant and Intuit Expert Services (IES) users will retain this feature. This change is part of the Fusion transition, an all-in-one integrated platform that replaces the older Desktop View for enhanced usability.

 

Moving forward, users will need to navigate using the modern, integrated Fusion interface. Rest assured that the new layout helps simplify access to core features.
