Intuit Data Protect

How do I cancel my Intuit Data Protect yearly charge? Since migrating from Desktop to Online I can't seem to get anyone to help me. I do not need this product any longer and no one seems to know how to cancel the subscription. In now an online customer but signed up as a desktop customer.

Intuit Data Protect

I’m glad to know that you have successfully migrated to the online platform, kelligrant9.

I also understand how important every penny is when running a business, and I'm here to help you make sure you're only paying for the services you require.  Let’s disable Intuit Data Protect (IDP) to stop using the service.

You can cancel your IDP by going to the Customer Account Management Portal (CAMPS), as mentioned by @Fiat Lux - ASIA answer. The process can be done at any time, but some conditions will apply. You can refer to the following:

  • There will be no refunds for the current subscription period.
  • You'll continue to have access to IDP through the end of your current subscription period.
  • Your service will be terminated at the next auto-renew date.
  • Your backed up files are maintained for 30 days following the termination of your IDP service.

After the cancellation process, let’s go ahead and remove the IDP in your system tray. Before doing so, update QuickBooks and Intuit Data Protect to the most recent releases. When you’re ready, follow these steps to disable the service.

Here’s how:

  1. Right-click Intuit Data Protect in the System Tray and select About Intuit Data Protect.
  2. This action will open the About Intuit Data Protect window.
  3. Press CTRL+F2 simultaneously to open the IDP Diagnostic tool and then click the Log Out button.
  4. Once done, you've disconnected the IDP service from your QuickBooks Desktop subscription.

If you're using QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) Standalone, I recommend you get in touch with our Technical Support Team to assist you in canceling the IDP. This reference covers all the details about the cancellation policies for each QuickBooks service.
