Invoice Layout

Why my client is unable to update to new Invoice Layout for QuickBooks Plus? I have tried with two different QuickBooks Experts to unveil. Please advise ASAP. Thank You.

Invoice Layout

Good thing you posted here in the Community space, @schand4462. I'm here to ensure your client will be able to switch to the new invoice layout in QuickBooks Online Plus.

 

If your company file is new, and you've accidentally ticked the Old layout button. You can still switch back to the new invoice experience. All you have to do is click the Update layout button on the invoice page twice. See the screenshot below for a visual reference.

 

 

 

However, if you don't have the option to update to the new layout, you may have encountered a problem with your browser caused by too much cache which creates unusual system behavior. To resolve the issue, I recommend opening your account in a private (incognito) window. 

 

Here are the keyboard shortcuts to open a private browser:

 

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: press Command + Shift +N

 

Once logged in, try to switch back to the new invoice layout. If it works, go back to your regular browser and clear its cache. Otherwise, use another supported browser as an alternative.
