Invoices & inventory

Hello,

When I create an invoice, the level of my inventory does not decrease automatically.

I would like to understand why and how to fix it.

Thank you

Insure the item you list on the invoice is actually an inventory type item - is that true?

and of course you save the invoice too

Yes it is true already.

Thank you for confirming what Rustler said, Aida.

Does this only happen to one inventory item or to others as well? We can do some steps to check if this is only a result of random browser issues. However, I would suggest contacting our QBO Support if the behavior persists, so they can investigate this behavior.

To start, you'll want to sign in to your QBO company using a private window. This step will disable the browser extensions and stops the cache from saving your search history.

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N.
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N.
  • MS Edge and Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P.

If the count decreases while you're on a private browser, you can clear your browser's cache. If not, please use a different browser to see if this only happens to the one you are using.

To contact our QBO Support:

  1. Click on Help and click the Search tab.
  2. Click Contact Us at the bottom.
  3. Enter something like inventory quantity issue and click Continue.
  4. Choose Start a chat or Get a callback.

Let me know if you have any other concerns with your inventories. Take care and have a good one!
