Invoices in Self-Employed Mobile App aren't loading

The entire invoice section of my mobile app doesn't load at all. I tried deleting and re-installing the app but that didn't fix it. iPhone 14 Pro with iOS 16.5.

It just says ' Invoices unavailable.' and when I try to refresh: 'We're having trouble connecting. Please try again later.' It has done that for at least a week now.

I tried getting help in the support live chat, but twice the agents just left the chat/hung up on me after I explain the problem. Infuriating! You got to do better QB. Not like there aren't other options out there for small business owners...

Thanks for the reply! Hoping the team will resolve this fast. I’m used to do all my invoicing on my phone.

Yeah getting added to a list doesn’t really work if I consistently get hung up on … Again this morning. Stephannie joined and left the chat within seconds. What kind of customer service is that

Same issue and experience with their latest app update. Unable to view invoices with the exact same error message. But since we are the ones paying the least(QBSE), we will be the last to get resolution. Come on, intuit.

I noticed the online invoices within QBSE have been changed by Intuit, now my OS app no longer can open the invoices on my app.  Please resolve.

I know this has been a challenging process for you, @Djburns. I'm here to assist you by providing a few troubleshooting steps to get your invoices in QuickBooks Self-Employed app working again.

Before that, I need more information to help me get on the same page. Have you encountered an error when trying to open the invoices? This way, I can check here on our end if there are ongoing investigations about this matter.

To start, refresh your QBSE app to resolve common problems. A large amount of data in the cache might cause this.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Menu icon and tap Help & Feedback.
  2. Select Refresh Data.
  3. Tap Refresh to confirm.

From your phone's settings, choose Apps. Then, select the QuickBooks app from the list, and click Storage. From there, tap Clear data.

If the issue persists, you may restart your phone, update your phone's operating system, and re-install the QBSE app. Also, consider logging in to your account using a web browser.

I'm a post-away if there's anything that I can do to help with your transactions in the QBSE mobile app, such as invoices. I'm also looking forward to your reply. Take care always.

Hmm. The instructions provided don’t match my up-to-date QBSE iOS app menu options and were therefore not helpful at all.

I’m having this same issue (almost all of June now) and it’s making business harder for me. Please fix this! Also, since I pay monthly for this service and it has been non functional for a month, a month credit at lesser would be appreciated.

Thank you.

QB self employed is no longer valid if I can’t see my invoices. It’s been a couple months and this company still has no resolution. I’m filing a grievance with my credit card company and will get a refund.

I’m also having the same problem, I’ve signed out of the app, deleted and reinstalled, tried the help mode all without resolution. If I go to the help mode, the chat will show me current invoices, but won’t allow me to open them.

I wish you didn't have to go through all these hurdles when doing your QuickBooks tasks, Kayla. Getting this resolved is our top priority for you and other users.

As I have reviewed this investigation, we've received volumes of customers reporting the same issue when accessing invoices in your QuickBooks Self-Employed mobile app. Please know that our Product Engineers are already aware of this issue and are implementing measures to provide a resolution as soon as possible.

For the time being, you'll want to consider opening your account and creating invoices in a supported browser as an alternative. I'd still recommend contacting our Customer Support Team to have your account information added to the list of affected users. This way, you'll receive updates regarding the investigation status and ensure you'll get back to business seamlessly.

Here's how to reach them:

  1. Go to Help (?) and select Contact Us. If you’re using the QuickBooks Self-Employed app, tap the + button and click Ask QB Assistant.
  2. Enter Talk to a human and select Continue.
  3. Select which way you want to connect with us.
  • Have us call you - Get a call from a support expert.

Also, I'm adding this reference to help you record customer payment transactions in your account: Record or attach expense receipts in QuickBooks Self-Employed. It includes steps on how to create or enter expense receipts into QBSE.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work towards a resolution, Kayla. If anything comes up in the meantime, please get back to us in this thread. We'll always be here, willing to help.

Same thing, invoices unavailable, which makes going about business as usual impossible. At least Quickbooks can't take money off the transactions when you can't send an invoice or pay an invoice. I've just had to resort to using Venmo and PayPal instead. Maybe I'll just cancel Quickbooks subscription soon. Intuit has absolutely impossible customer service and is overall a pretty crappy product.
