I have called in twice already. The first time I was told Intuit no longer supports the app (even though I get regular updates). The second time I was told all I could do was uninstall and reinstall the app. I think I need QuickBooks Accounting app support as the QuickBooks Online support folks don’t know about the app.
I can see that you already did everything you could to fix the issue, borges.
Please know that we don't have a support team specific for the QuickBooks Accounting app only. Instead, you can reach out to our QBO support once more for further checking and help.
In addition, feel free to read this article for guidance which apps are supported by Intuit: Apps that work with QuickBooks Online.
I'm still with you if you have any other concerns about QuickBooks Online or the app. I'll respond as soon as possible.
I think this is a bug on the newer releases of the app as opening PDFs previously worked. Can this be reported to the engineers as such? With all do respect, the links both of you have provided are not helpful. Thank you for trying to help.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention, Borges. I would feel the same way if I were in your situation.

I've already done that twice. Why should I expect a different outcome the third time?

The QuickBooks Accounting App version 24.03.3 opens PDFs just fine on an iPhone X. The same app version on the iPhone 15 Pro crashes when attempting to open PDFs. Hopefully that helps the support team figure this out.
The QuickBooks Accounting App version 24.03.4 opens PDFs on the iPhone 15 Pro. Unfortunately the app just updated to version 24.03.5 which crashes on attempting to open PDFs.
What device or devices are you having issues with? My old iPhone X seems to open them ok on the app. My new iPhone 15 does not open them on the app.
I understand the importance of using the QuickBooks app on your new phone with ease, borges.
Upon checking, I've seen that you've already contacted our Customer Support Team. However, you'll need to reach out to them again to have this investigated further and provide a resolution. Here's how:

The QuickBooks Accounting App version 24.04.1 opens PDFs on the iPhone 15 Pro consistently. Unfortunately the app just updated to version 24.04.2 which consistently crashes on attempting to open PDFs.
The QuickBooks Accounting App version 24.05 opens PDFs on the iPhone 15 Pro consistently.
The QuickBooks Accounting App version 24.08.5 does not consistently open PDF attachments. As of version 24.08.6, PDF attachments don’t open at all. Fortunately the app doesn’t crash like before, but PDFs don’t open either. This is very inconvenient as I can no longer look up part numbers or previous prices.

Support told me what they have told me in the past on this issue, we don’t work on the iOS app. Latest version opens expense PDFs when it feels like.
Is there a fix to the iOS app coming? Phone support is not helpful. They always say that they do not support the iOS app. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app and it did not change the issue.
I can imagine how important it is for you to perform tasks like handling expenses. Routing you to the right support will help you resolve this issue, Borges.

borgesdairy@outl "Phone support is not helpful."
Sadly, I doubt you'll find more fortune here.
While they are labelled as 'QuickBooks Team', the staff here seem to have more of a receptionist role than anything else.
There are competent users, but I doubt any of them can help with this issue. Maybe you'll get lucky and the single engineer that reads this board will notice this thread, but I think they mostly work on the Mac side.
@MariaSoledadG please reread my last post or any of my previous posts where I have written about interacting with phone support. Support does not support the iOS app. Unfortunately the browser version is not easy to navigate on the phone. PDFs open just fine on the desktop version. The problem is not with my account or the data, it is with the iOS app.
The QuickBooks Accounting App version 24.10.7 still does not consistently open expense PDF attachments. If you uninstall the iOS app and reinstall it, it sometimes buys you a couple days before it doesn’t consistently open the expense PDFs again.
The Quickbooks app is crashing every time I open it. I’ve tried all of the troubleshooting steps.. Nothing is working. I’m about to cancel my subscription and go with Freshbooks. QB is a nightmare.
