Just upgraded to QB Pro 2019 and having problems emailing invoices through Outlook 2010
Hi, @tearlhamm.
It's nice to see you again here in the Community. I can share some information about the emailing invoices in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) Pro 2019.
Yes! Outlook 2010 is compatible with the QBDT version you have. You can refer to this article for more information: System requirements for QuickBooks 2019 and Enterprise Solutions 19.0.
Just to confirm, did you get any error message when emailing invoices? If so, may I know what specific error you received? In the meantime, let's perform some troubleshooting steps that can help us isolate this.
To start off, make sure that QBDT is not running as administrator. Here's how:
1. Close your QBDT, then right-click the QuickBooks icon, then select Properties.
2. Choose Compatibility Tab and deselect Run this program as Administrator.
3. Click Okay, then Exit and reopen QuickBooks.
Next is to check your email set up in the Preferences. Here's how:
1. Go to Edit menu at the top, then pick Preferences on the drop-down.
2. Choose Send Forms on the left panel, then go to My Preferences tab.
3. Set Send e-mail using to the option that you want to use and select OK.
4. Close all other programs, then restart your computer.
Once done, reopen your QBDT company file again and try to send/email an invoice. For your reference, you can check out this article for further guidance: Error: QuickBooks is unable to send your email to Outlook.
That's it! Please let me know how it goes by leaving a comment below. I want to make sure this is fix. I'd be glad to answer should you have follow-up questions. Have a great rest of the day.
was told by intuit support that outlook 2019 is no longer support with quickbooks desktop and they have no plans to fix.
was told by quickbooks enterprise support that outlook support was broken and they have no intention of fixing the problem and that I should use webmail option. this will be or 20 PCs. was broken in 2019 and still broken in 2020. great job. but thunderbird still works. except you pay for an office365 subscription and can't use outlook.
Hi glsmith5150,
I have more steps that we can try, you can toggle your preferences to test your email. Let me walk you through how.
Once done, send an email transaction to your own email address.
However, if you're experiencing the same error, please continue to "Step 3: Check your Internet Explorer email preferences" in this article: How to fix "Error: QuickBooks is unable to send your email to Outlook".
