The timing of your direct deposit depends on when you approve paychecks. For example, if you approve paychecks before 7:00 AM PT on that day, the money will be withdrawn from your account on the same day. Then, your employees will see the money by 5:00 PM local time per NACHA rules.

Another example is that if your payday falls on a Monday holiday, you can submit your paychecks by or before 7 AM PT on the preceding Friday. Your account will be debited on Friday, and your employees will receive their pay on the same day (Friday).

If you're currently using Online Premium or Elite, you can request for faster funding time. Requests will be reviewed within 1-2 business days and the updates will be sent from QBO@intuit.com to the payroll principal officer. Here's how to request faster funding time:
 

1. Select Settings ⚙, then Payroll settings.
2. Click Edit ✎ in the Direct deposit section.
   
   
    
3. Select Request same-day payroll, then follow the prompts, or if it's unavailable, please proceed to contact our phone or chat support.

Otherwise, you can upgrade your online payroll service plan by logging in to your QuickBooks Online Payroll account, going to Settings ⚙ , and then clicking Billing & Subscription. From there, click Upgrade your plan and follow the on-screen instructions.
