Hello Everyone,

I'm having a hard time to find a way to lock selling price in Invoice so my sales administrator cannot manually change them.

Does anyone knows how to do this?

Lock Price on Invoice

I appreciate your inquiry about locking the selling price in invoices within QuickBooks, dmelissa.

I'm here to offer a way to achieve your goal today.

In QuickBooks Desktop, there isn't a built-in feature to directly lock the selling price. However, you can set up your sales admin permission to restrict access to sensitive areas, including the ability to modify pricing. By doing so, you can control their access and limit their ability to change selling prices on invoices.

Here's how:

  1. From the Company menu, select Users then Set up Users and Roles.
  2. Click Role List.
  3. Click on New.
  4. Enter a Role Name and double-click Customers and Receivables.
  5. Choose Invoices.
  6. Ensure that only the Create box is marked checked.
  7. Click OK.

This method offers a protective measure to minimize the risk of unauthorized price modifications.

In addition, you can personalize your sales form templates to control how they look and what information to include: Use and customize form templates.
