Login Issues

I have been unable to login to my QBO account for the last 10 days and have spent over 20 hours on the phone with the support team.  I've had multiple people tell me that the issue was resolved and they would call me back within 2-3 hours to confirm.  Not one of them has called me back.  Several people have told me that the case can't be escalated but won't tell me why.  The latest person I spoke with told me that everyone I had been talking to had lied to me and the account was under compliance hold because they needed a copy of my driver's license, which I sent to them on the 21st.  She said that was for intuit compliance and they needed a new copy for Quickbooks Online compliance.  Once that was received it would be 5-7 business days until my account would be unlocked.

 

At this point we are looking at nearly 3 weeks of no access, not being able to send my clients new invoices, and not being able to pay me for existing invoices.  I have clients begging me to take money before the end of the year and it's just not possible because I can't access my account.

 

I have worked with a lot of software support and I can honestly say this is the work customer support system I have ever had and it is seriously jeopardizing my business.

 

I am open to any ideas or suggestions at this point.

Have you tried open your QBO account as Primary Admin on any private/incognito browser? Why did they need a copy of your driver's license to resolve your issue?

I tried incognito mode and no luck.  My account switched over from a wholesale account to my personal account after my accountant had a serious mental health crisis and decided he wanted nothing to do with money because it is part of a larger global conspiracy.  They needed a driver's license to verify my identity.

Does it mean you are only able to login as Company Admin, not Primary Admin? It is why they asked your personal documents to transfer the Primary Admin role, correct?

I can't log in at all.  My account is locked and on compliance hold because it was originally through my accountant's wholesale account.  I removed my accountant and made myself primary admin.  From what I understand the account is still under a wholesale account so it is coming up as unpaid even though I have paid it 3 times in December.  Support is saying that is has to go through compliance review before they can unlock the account which will take 5-7 business days.  They can't figure out why it's still listed as a wholesale account and the answer they keep giving me is that it needs to be escalated to be unlocked but the owner of the wholesale account has to give permission to switch before they can unlock it.

 

I asked them what they do in the event the accountant dies and can't give permission and was told they don't have a solution for that scenario.  So, I remain in limbo.

It is possible that you have 2 different QBO accounts. You can't remove the Primary Admin yourself. The existing Primary Admin is the one who is able to transfer the role. We have received many stories from our clients globally especially in the last 2 years during this pandemic. You will have to chat with Support more than once and ask them for help transferring roles. It will be much easier if you can still login as Company Admin. In some cases, our clients must submit Death Certificates to support claims. In other cases, they have to wait until the subscription expires.
