Buy nowHello,
We're getting this error when running Condense on our company file. We've noticed we can run a condense successfully back to 1/1/2018. But if I try to do 1/1/2019 we get the error in the QBWin.log file: "LVL_ERROR--Error: Unable to read company file attributes - owner id = {....." - It shows some numbers/letters for the owner id, but not all of them.
We've been in touch with Data Services, they say we have negative inventory. I don't understand how that can be the problem when it allows us to condense to 1/1/2018... we had negative inventory then too. (Fixing the negative inventory would be a last resort as there's some 14000 records on 1200 products going back to 2009, many of them discontinued or products like gift cards that you don't order)
I'm hoping I can figure out what's triggering this issue. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
You should ask Data Service team to condense your file. Otherwise, consider to purchase a 3rd party condense service.
Hello there, Steverguy.
I recognize the importance of condensing your company file in QuickBooks Desktop. Let's perform the troubleshoot of data damages here in the QuickBooks. Allow me to guide you the two solutions.
Solution 1: Rebuild and verify.
Solution 2: Identify and manually edit the damaged item
1. Identify the item number using the QBWin.log.
2. Export your item list and identify the damaged item.
3. Correct the item's quantity on hand (QOH).
4. Verify your file again. To ensure that the data issue is resolved, verify your company file again by going to File > Utilities > Verify Data.

Thank you for your reply! In the QBWin, after Verify Data fails, I find this:

verify.c (16253) : CHECKPOINT: 65280: Thu Feb 1 10:58:34 Verify Rebuild: PaymentExtensions took 0.588600 milliseconds. ErrorFound:0
attributecontainer.cpp (3606) : MESSAGE: 65280: Thu Feb 1 10:58:34 LVL_ERROR--Error: Unable to read company file attributes - owner id = {8DFA6C49-14E4-48C9-BD8B ...} .
verify.c (16253) : CHECKPOINT: 65280: Thu Feb 1 10:58:34 Verify Rebuild: AttributeContainers took 37.305000 milliseconds. ErrorFound:1
It doesn't seem to be associated with a specific product. Or should i be looking for something else? Thank you!
Hey there, @Steverguy.
Thanks for reaching back out to the Community.
Since you're receiving theses errors, I recommend re-sorting your lists in your account to help resolve the issue. Here's a guide to help you out:
Note: If you're in multi-user mode, make sure to switch to single user-mode before you start re-sorting.
