Buy nowCan you manage users for companies without an intuit account. We have upgraded from 2012 and our users were managed locally without a third-party intermediary. Will we run into issues if we keep our current users and don't set up an intuit account within the 28 days.
Thanks for reaching out here in the Community, ITQuickAccount. I'm glad to provide information about user accessibility on a company file in QuickBooks.
On QuickBooks Desktop's new security policy, all users are required to have login credentials when opening a company file. Having an Intuit account ensures a secured single-source login.
Although users can still skip this process within seven days, after that period, a prompt message will pop up obligating them to create or use an account. Also, you'll need to connect to the internet at least once every 14 days, even when accessing QuickBooks remotely.
Thus, every user must have or use an Intuit account to continue managing a company file. For more information about this new policy, please review this article: Intuit account - QuickBooks Desktop.
Furthermore, let me add this link about accessing a company file remotely: Open a company file on a remote computer.
In addition, here's an article as your reference about managing and personalizing your reports in QuickBooks: Customize reports in QuickBooks Desktop.
