The only work around we have found that works is. Before creating the memorized transactions, we resort the list. For some reason this keeps the deleted (removed ones) from being entered as a memorized transaction.
You can try the workaround shared by CBS3601, stamarsh.
I can also provide other ways in resolving unrecoverable errors when trying to run the verify and rebuild data process.
To start, just make sure that you update QuickBooks Desktop to the latest release and then create a backup of your company file. After these steps, run the QuickBooks File Doctor from the QuickBooks Tool Hub. It helps fix common errors and before proceeding, ensure that QuickBooks is closed when using it. If the error persists, you can follow Solution 2: Suppress your QuickBooks Desktop in the Unrecoverable Error: General Troubleshooting Steps article.
Once the error is fixed, you can re-sort your list of memorized transactions. It makes your lists go back to their default order. So if you have manually changed the order of your list, re-sorting will undo these changes.
Keep me posted on how these works so I can walk you through from there. I'll be more glad to help. Have a great day and stay safe!
This helped! I was able to edit a transaction to 'do not remind me' after I hit ok, the auto transaction said no, and the next date was removed.
Thanks!
I've had this issue on and off for years. Every answer I've gotten from "tech support" is the same and never helps. I did a deep dive last week and guess what...... I sorted it out. I've had over 2k and counting in my reminders in a big traffic jam and there was no way to get rid of them. I had a few that we would have to delete the errorantly created invoice each month
So the memorized transaction list is kind of a window or a shell and has little functionality. I explored around and finally I went to reports> lists> memorized reports listing (NOT the memorized transactions list) this will look more like a quick report. And guess what all the deleted transactions were in this list. Some were deleted without changing the "do not remind me" and so this phantom transaction would pop up every 4 weeks and just cause a big problem. Change them all to "do not remind" and all these stupid transactions will not be seen again. Thank you and you're welcome!!!!
