Memorized Transaction with automatic entry

We have some memorized transaction set to automatically enter; however, they do not.  I have to select them and enter manually.  I must be missing a step.

Memorized Transaction with automatic entry

Hi, TammyM12.

Let’s try to delete and recreate the memorized transaction then make sure to enter necessary information. If the issue continues after doing this, I’d recommend repairing the software.

Here’s an article on how to repair QuickBooks:  https://quickbooks.intuit.com/community/Help-Articles/Fix-QuickBooks-Desktop-Windows/m-p/201490.

Please make sure to secure a backup copy of your company file prior from doing the steps in the article.

Memorized Transaction with automatic entry

Hello there, TammyM12.

Thanks for the prompt response. I want this to be taken care of.

I understand your hesitation in repairing the software. Please know that performing this can do no harm to your company file. This is the most recommended solution to fix unexpected product behavior.

As what my colleague MikiD mentioned, you'll need to secure a backup copy of your company file before you start troubleshooting.

Once done, let's start ending all QuickBooks processes that are running in the background.

Here's how:

  1. Press the Ctrl + Alt and Delete keys at the same time.
  2. Choose Start Task Manager.
  3. Highlight all applications that start with .qb, QuickBooks or Intuit.
  4. Click End Task at the bottom.

Now you're ready to repair your QuickBooks. The steps are provided in this article: Fix QuickBooks Desktop.

That should keep you on the right track. Let me know if you need more help with this. I'll be sure to assist you further.

Thank you for your reply.  Repairing the software sounds like a radical move and that it might lead to a larger challenge.  I shy aware from doing that and might just live with the slight inconvenience.  However, Can you tell me how common having to repair software is and help me to feel less intimidated by trying this?
