Merging duplicate customers

I need to merge duplicate customers on QB to leave one customer file, but it needs to be merged in the opposite direction on our integrated inventory platform. Is it possible to do this? For example: I have Customer A & B that are duplicates we need to keep the Customer A account active on QB but the Customer B Account active on our integrated inventory platform.

Merging duplicate customers

Hello there, @AdminBSCO. We're unable to merge Customer B to A in QuickBooks while keeping Customer B active in your inventory platform. Merging customers is a permanent, one-way move. Customer B basically disappears, and all their history and transactions move over to Customer A's profile.

There isn't a way to undo this or split them back up in your inventory system. In that case, you'll just have to pick one primary customer to use for both platforms.
