Join nowI work with Quickbooks desktop in 2 different computers (one at home one at the office). How can I merge the two backups of each so I see the same on both?
It seems I can only work with one or the other, but I need both versions to be the same.
Hello there, @MLUSA15.0
I can share some details on how you can merge the information coming from your back-up company file.
Currently, the ability to merge two company files in QuickBooks is unavailable. You can either enter transactions manually or import the data into the company file you wish to use moving forward.
For a more detailed information, you may check out this article: Import/export overview.
On the other hand, when creating a back up copy of your company file, you can save this on a stick drive or USB and open it on your computer at home and access it from there. You can also do the same when saving the work from your QuickBooks at home. By saving the back up copy on a stick drive, you'll be able to access your updated company file both at home and in your office.
Also, you can check out for supported Third-Party applications that designed to work with QuickBooks in merging company files.
