Monthly Subscription Price Increase

How do you justify such a significant price increase from $40 to $50 a month? A 20% increase in a product seems unreasonable.

Let me share some context and details on why there's an increase and how it will hopefully benefit you and other customers in the long run.

We are adjusting subscription rates for the first time since 2019 (and QBO Advanced for the first time since 2018) due to industry alignment and so we can continue to invest in the product. To make this happen, we had to set the new fees so we can continually make investments to maintain and improve the product. This includes the addition of new features such as:

Monthly Subscription Price Increase

I understand the need for a price increase, but a 20% increase on anything is concerning.  Either leadership missed something, or customers are being gouged due to an industry that Intuit has a monopoly in.  I would imagine they will now lose market share as customers will seek other options.
