Hi there, i'm using Quickbooks desktop and would like to customize an invoice.
At the moment, there is a footer field called "Customer total balance", which displays the customer total amount due on the last page of an invoice.
I would like to have this information displayed in the header, so that it displays the customer's total amount due on every page, not just the last.
I added a custom field to the customers details in the "Additional info" tab, but the actual data must be input manually, whereas i'm wanting the system to add the total amount due on its own.
How can I do this?
Thanks.

For now, the option to display the Customer total balance field in the header section is unavailable in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).
At the moment, you can utilize the custom field feature to show the customer's total amount on every page. However, you'll have manually add its amount.
I can see how these additional options and functionality would be helpful for both you and your business. Therefore, I'd suggest submitting a feedback request to our Product Developers. They can review your suggestions and might include them in future updates.
Here's how:
Lastly, I'm adding this article for topics to use while recording common customer transactions: The Customer Transaction Workflows in QuickBooks Desktop. Subtopics like how a certain workflow is entered based on the other payment method used by your customers.
