Moving QuickBooks to a new server

I am following the steps in this link -

In Step 1 it says we can select the option "I will NOT be using QuickBooks Desktop on this computer..."

I chose that option since it's on a server, but in Step 7 it says to I need to turn on Multi-user Access from QuickBooks Desktop.

Do I need to install QuickBooks desktop to do Step 7, even though Step 1 tells me I don't have to?

Moving QuickBooks to a new server

Yes, you're correct, @JoshRountree.

You have to make sure that QuickBooks Desktop is downloaded on the server's computer. In step 1, you will only select I will NOT be using QuickBooks Desktop on this computer if you just want your server computer to host your files. This option does not allow you to work on QuickBooks from the server computer. Then, follow the on-screen process to install the QBDT.

This way, you'll be able to turn on the Multi-user Access on your server computer in step 7.
