Multi-User verses Multi-Log in

We currently have 5 functioning logins that all gain access to our Quickbooks Desktop but only 3 of them can be logged in at once. Our license says we have 3 "seats". I am needing to know if I currently have a 3 user platform or 5, and if I have 3 currently and upgrade to 5 will all 5 be able to log in at once.

Multi-User verses Multi-Log in

You can create as many users as you want.  However, you are limited based on the QB SKU level in how many concurrent users you can have logged into one company file.  Pro is 3, I think. Premier might be 5.  Enterprise is 20 or so, last I checked.

We currently have Premier 2019 and have not been able to login 5 at a time. Our License says we have 3 seats, we are not sure what that means.

Multi-User verses Multi-Log in

Hello, Roses Shop.

You can have your users sign in to the company file simultaneously if you're using the multi-user system. The maximum number of simultaneous users for QuickBooks Premier Edition is five users. When using the multi-user mode, it allows multiple users to collaborate on the same company file at the same time. However, they must be networked, and must have their own QuickBooks license.

In your case, you must determine the number of licenses you purchased. You can press F2 on your keyboard to display your license information. If you have multiple licenses but the system does not reflect the correct number, follow the steps below:

  1. Go to Help menu then select Manage My License.
  2. Choose Sync License Data Online.

That should correct the number of user licenses displayed in the Product Information. You might want to check our license agreement to know more about the multi-user requirements: Complete details on our license agreement

We currently show 3 seats, we are wanting to add 2 more so we can have more users on at once. I called tech support and they keep talking about adding 2 users, I wasn't sure if this would take care of our issues.

Don't buy a new license for QBD 2019. You have to purchase additional seats for your existing license. If their Support couldn't help you, contact us in private for assistance.

Multi-User verses Multi-Log in

I am using a Premier 2018 edition of Quick Books. At the moment we hare 4 users. Initially all was well till one colleagues computer crashed. We have been able to reinstall the Quickbooks and even successfully activate the user license. However, now only two (2) users can simultaneously log on and use company file.

I have sync license , run QkBk diagnostic tool. I have repaired my .NET Framework. But it is still not successful. Any assistance??
