My accounts IOP cannot export the data to our QBO - "Set up connection to QBO"- Export setup flow

Hello!!

 

I've called customer support over a dozen times with zero luck.

 

My accountant is using IOP to do our payroll currently and we are changing that system to do payroll in house. Our accountant signed us up for QBO and he is trying to connect/export his IOP Payroll information to our QBO with zero luck. We(our company) are not showing as  an "existing QBO account" to export the information to. We cannot start the migration and customer support is telling us to call IOP and IOP tells us to call QBO. PLEASE HELP!!

 

Steps that are not working: (our account is not showing at this step)

If the correct account is found, you can continue to the export process. If multiple accounts are found, you will be prompted to select one.

Ultimately, the best route to get this get this data successfully connected/exported, would be to get in touch with our Customer Support Team again. They specifically have a screen share tool to walk you through the steps and any other additional details needed.

I can understand how frustrating this may be, but getting in contact with them will help you out the best way possible.

My accounts IOP cannot export the data to our QBO - "Set up connection to QBO"- Export setup flow

The problem is with IOP, the IOP cannot find our company on their platform to export the data to. I've contacted QBO and they tell me to call IOP, I call IOP they tell me to call QBO.

 

How do we get this resolved? Can we re-set the payroll module and re-start? How do we troubleshoot?

If you’re having difficulty completing the exporting process on your end, I’d recommend reaching out to our Support Team in a 3 way call so they can assist you both IOP and QBO . A specialist could further assist you via secured remote access session.

 

Please keep in mind that our Support Team is open from Monday to Friday from 6 AM to 6 PM PT and Saturday from 6 AM to 3 PM PT.

 

To reach them, please follow the steps below:

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online account.
  2. Click the Help button.
  3. In the QuickBooks Assistance chatbox, select Talk to a human and choose I still need a human.
  4. Hit Contact Us.

We get stopped at "select a company to export to"

 

What would prevent us from finding our company in the list? Why is our company not showing?

Hello, Jessie. 

 

I appreciate the time to discuss the issue with us, and I'd like to take over and shed some light on why you're unable to see the company on the export screen. 

 

There are several reasons why you're unable to see your company file on the export setup:

 

  • The QuickBooks Online account already has a payroll subscription.
  • The payroll subscription in QBO is no longer active.
  • The QBO account is already connected to a different IOP login.

 

You can only export your IOP data to a new QuickBooks Online account without payroll. 

 

One way to bring in your payroll data to QuickBooks Online is to run payroll manually (not direct deposit). Though if your account and payroll service are still on the process of setting up, you can enter prior data. 

 

This article will guide you and your accountant through the process: Set up a prior payroll for QuickBooks Online Payroll.

 

If you're unable to enter the prior data, you can contact our payroll support. Follow the steps provided by my colleague, TirzahC.

 

After getting all of your payroll data to QuickBooks, you can run reports to verify the numbers. This article will help you familiarize what reports you can run: Run payroll reports.
