My Community Forum password isn't working

I have all of my passwords saved in a safe location and, for some reason, my Quickbooks Community password is not working and I cannot find a way to access or change it. I keep having to log in with a code texted to my phone. How can I fix this?

Thank You

My Community Forum password isn't working

Hello, @hiline1.

This process is known as two-factor authentication, which adds a layer of security to your devices or online accounts, making it difficult for attackers to hack them.

You may have enabled the 2-step verification in your Intuit Account. That's why every time you log in to your account, you'll need a code texted to your phone. Rest assured, I have the steps that we can perform to turn it off.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Community forum, then click your profile picture.
  2. Select Manage your Intuit Account.
  3. Log in to your Intuit Account.
  4. Choose Sign in & security.
  5. Select 2-step verification, then click Off.

I've provided some screenshots below for your visual preferences.

My Community Forum password isn't working

Pretty sure thats not the case. Every time I type my password it says incorrect password. So I can only log in by accepting a text code and entering it.

My Community Forum password isn't working

I appreciate you returning to this thread and providing an update about your concern, @hiline1.

Let me chime in and provide information for you to access or change your QuickBooks Community password.

As my colleague RogelioL said, be sure to turn off the 2-step verification in your Intuit Account. Also, since you can log in through text code, I suggest to just update or reset your password. If you still have access to your phone or email on file, you can still retrieve your account details. Follow the steps below to regain access to your account.

  1. Go to our sign-in help page.
  2. Enter the phone number, email address, or user ID for your account.
  3. If you enter a phone number or email address, we’ll send you a text or email with a verification code. If you enter a user ID, choose which method you prefer.
  4. Enter the verification code we sent, or follow the instructions in the message. We may ask you for a little more info to make sure it’s really you.
  5. When prompted, reset your password.

For more detailed information, refer to this article: Recover your Intuit Account if you can't sign in.

I'll also add this article to guide you to update or change your email address, user ID, password, and other information for your QuickBooks, TurboTax, or Credit Karma products: Update or change your Intuit Account sign-in information.

If you have clarifications about resetting your password, please leave a reply below. We're always available to attend to your concerns.
