Hi.  New user and I when I click on +New, the only option is “Get Paid”.  Based on what I have researched, I should have other options.  Any help is very appreciated.  Thanks!

My +New selection is only Get Paid. Where are the other options?

We’re glad that you’ve chosen QuickBooks Solopreneur to help manage your business, Coachbradptr. Under the GET PAID menu, you can find several essential options: Invoice, Estimate, Add Customer, and Add Product/Services. If you find that any of these are unavailable, we can troubleshoot the program to fix the unusual behavior.

First, please log in to your QuickBooks Solopreneur account using a private browsing window. This will provide a fresh session without any stored browser data affecting performance. Follow these shortcuts for opening a private window in different browsers:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

Then, click the +New if the options are now available. If it doesn't work, clear your regular browser's cache to remove specific issues and help the program run efficiently. You can also use other devices and supported browsers to ensure everything works as expected.

I'll also include this article that provides step-by-step instructions and tips to ensure you can fully utilize all the features available: Introduction to QuickBooks Solopreneur.

Once everything is working smoothly, please note that QuickBooks automatically categorizes your incoming bank transactions, but you can change the category as needed. For more information, you can refer to this article: Categorize bank transactions in QuickBooks Solopreneur.
