Need to talk with someone?

I presently have 2015 Rental Property Manager Quicken program.  I have used Quicken for about 20 years now and have a great deal of data that I would like to keep.  I do not use anything on online - everything that I have is on my computer.  Will Quickbooks access all of my Quicken data that I have from the past to be used just on my computer.

It's good to have you here, TKMDAK14. I understand that you want to know if QuickBooks will be able to access your past Quicken data. I'm happy to assist you with this inquiry.

QuickBooks does not have the capability to automatically access your Quicken data. You will need to manually import your Quicken data into QuickBooks. Once imported, you can use QuickBooks on your computer to manage your finances more efficiently.

First, you'll need to export your Quicken data to a file in CSV format so you can import it into QuickBooks. Once done, follow the steps below to import the file.

  1. Log into your QBO account.
  2. Navigate to the Gear icon, then Import Data.
  3. Select the type of list that you want to import.
  4. Select Browse. Find the .csv file, then select Open. You can also click on Download a sample file and use it as a sample template.
  5. Click Next. The Map data page appears. There is a green checkmark on the fields that QuickBooks recognizes. Otherwise, you will see No Match.
  6. Use the dropdown menus to map the fields. Select Next.
  7. Review all the entries that you'll import.
  8. Select Import.

@TKMDAK14

You can still use your Quicken 2015 with a non subscription license for good. Make sure to secure your backup files regularly.
