I think the writing is on the wall that QuickBooks is not going to fix the sales tax issue we are all experiencing in the new update with "Other Templates". Its been 27 days since I reported these problems. No fix and no update. Plus support tells me the mandate is to force everybody to the new Modern template It willbe gone in 3 months. So they will give us a bug in "Other Template" that will leave us with no choice but to change. So I tried to use the new and improved Quickbooks online.They changed Quickbooks online a lot.
Most of this is in regards to making quotes/invoices/documents. You know customer facing items. The things that are the most important from a branding and appearance point of view.
Did you poll the customers and ask them if they wanted all these changes?
Did you ask them if they no longer wanted the choice to turn on/off the date column or not?
Did you ask them if they no longer wanted the choice to turn on/off Product/service column or not?
Did you ask them if they no longer wanted the choice to turn on/off the company address from the template?
Did you ask them if they no longer wanted a footer on documents?
Did you ask them if they no longer wanted page numbers on multiple page documents?
Did you ask them if they preferred only 1 default template with no customization?
Did you ask them if they no longer wanted the custom fields to be optional on documents?

Please know that our Developers are working hard to resolve the new template layout. Your concerns have not gone unnoticed.
I want to let you know that I've personally submitted each item you've mentioned above to our Development Team to push them further along. I'll be sure to provide updates here as they become available.

Your "developers" knew about all these things before they foisted the new and terrible templates on users. For many months. And they did nothing. Why are they suddenly now trying to resolve the mess they created?
Not surprised, WHATSOEVER... this company and its software products have been defective for years and nothing's ever been done about it. We've experienced a "date change" issue in the QB payroll for years, where we have to manually set the correct paycheck dates, otherwise the paycheck will be made in a period 2 months prior... that's just defective and incompetent. The cost of using this software has far exceeded the benefit. Now I'm looking at being forced to upgrade to the online version, which my own CPA says is no good and full of bugs. Wish there was a cheaper and more reliable alternative.
@Oystercopy Whatever you do, do NOT switch to QBO. It is the WORST!! Definitely try to find something else. I'm stuck using QBO, because the accountant says we have to, or he won't help us. Plus, the owners of this place don't listen to just how bad it actually is, and don't think there is any other options out there.
If it were up to me, I would have switched to something else years ago.
