Not getting verification code by call or text...

I tried to login to my QB account today and after completing the email verification it asked to setup my phone number for verification as well. Which would be fine, except I'm NOT getting either the text or call option to my cell. So i tried my landline and I'm not getting the call option there either. So now I'm completely locked out of QB because I can't skip the verification step but I'm not receiving the code. I can't even access the help/contact tab in QB because I'm completely locked out until I can enter a verification code. So what do I do now?

Not getting verification code by call or text...

I’m here to help you, @shawnna.

You can use QuickBooks Self-Employed test account, so you can reach out to our Phone Care Support. They have tools that can access your account and help you reset your login credentials.

Here’s how:

  1. Go to this link: https://selfemployed.intuit.com/createTestDriveUser.
  2. Select Help (?) at the top right.
  3. Click Contact Us.
  4. Enter Locked out in the field, then hit Continue.
  5. Choose to Get a callback.

Let me share this self-help article for your future reference. This contains a lot of information on how to manage your QBSE account.

Should you have any other questions, I’ll be right here.

Not getting verification code by call or text...

Hello,

I hope you're doing well.

I'm facing an issue with my login process. Normally, I should receive a verification code on my phone number, but unfortunately, I am not receiving it. I would really appreciate some assistance with this matter. Is there any way I can switch to receiving the verification code via email instead of my phone number?

Thank you for your help.

Not getting verification code by call or text...

Hello there, Marigona.

Thanks for joining this conversation. I'm to share information about how the Two-step verification works when logging into your QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) account.

Though you can edit the phone number for your Two-step verification, the option to change it to email is currently unavailable. Since you're unable to receive the code, try sending it again to double-check.

If the same thing happens, let's check if the phone number is correct in your Intuit Account. Here's how:

  1. Sign in to your Intuit Account.
  2. Select Sign in & security.
  3. From there, you'll see the Two-step verification section.
  4. Make sure your phone number is correct, then select how you want to verify your account:
  5. Select Continue.
  6. Enter the code we send you, then click Continue.
  7. Enter your account password, then Continue.

The system will only ask you to verify your account when you log in from a new device or browser or clear the browser's cache data. To learn more about the verifying and managing your Intuit account, check out this article: Verify your Intuit Account with multi-factor authentication or two-step verification.

We'd love to hear your inputs. I recommend leaving feedback to notify our engineers about the feature you need. This way, they can consider adding it in the future updates. Here's how to submit:

  1. Open your QBSE account through browser.
  2. Go to the Invoice tab and open any transaction to see the feedback option.
  3. Select the Feedback tab on the upper right side.
  4. Type your suggestion in the box and click Next

Moreover, you can refer to this article for information on how QBSE tracks your business income and taxes: QuickBooks Self-Employed Overview.

Please let me know if you have additional questions about this or anything else. I'm always here to help. Take care.
