payroll pop up window

When I access any payroll "tools" that require my payroll login, the window that opens overlays my QB screen that is so large I cannot access the X to close it, and consequently have to Ctrl-Alt-Delete and Task Manager the entire program closed.  Does anyone know how to fix this?

payroll pop up window

Hi, FrustratedBookkeeper.

Welcome to the Community. I'm here to assist you with your concern about the payroll pop-up window.

You can try pressing the Ctrl key and the minus (-) key simultaneously on your keyboard to zoom out and make the page smaller. However, if the issue continues, you'll need to double-check your default settings in QuickBooks.

Here's how to change display settings in QBDT:

  1. Close QuickBooks Desktop.
  2. Open the Windows Start menu.
  3. Type "QuickBooks" into the search. Then right-click the QuickBooks icon and select Open file location.
  4. In the folder, right-click the QuickBooks.exe file and select Properties.
  5. Go to the Compatibility tab and choose Disable display scaling on high DPI settings checkbox. You can also select Change high DPI settings and then Override high DPI scaling behavior.
  6. Select Apply, then OK.

Once done, open QuickBooks and check to see if it looks better. If you're getting the same results, I recommend checking out the QuickBooks Desktop display issues and proceed to Step 2.
