Payroll Taxes

we were just moved from Intuit's Online Payroll program to the QuickBooks online payroll. I ran our first payroll on this new system and fortunately the payroll checks succeeded.

But when I try to take care of the 941 and the state withholding--both of which I will be doing outside of Quickbooks--, and to correct some of the inaccuracies of older tax information) it keeps saying "oops give us a few minutes". It's been two days, so, I don't think they fixed whatever the oops is. Unless it's me. IDK.

They've had plenty of time to get this stuff working properly. (Using Chrome, fwiw)

Payroll Taxes

Thanks for reaching out to us here in the Community, nanjake.

I'm here to help fix the error you're getting when processing payroll in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

There are times that the data in your browser is outdated which needs to be cleared to avoid having this error. To isolate this error, I suggest using an incognito browser to check if this is a browser-relate issue.

Here are the shortcut keyboards:

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: press Command + Shift + N

If you can process payroll successfully using the private browsing session, go back to your regular browser and clear its cache to refresh the program. If not, you might need to use another supported browser as alternatives.

However, if the issue persists, I suggest reaching out to our Customer Care team to further investigate the root cause of the error. To do so, please visit this link for the detailed guide: QuickBooks Online Support. It also contains the exact time when our support team will be available.
