PLEASE ENTER A VALID DUE DATE; 2024 UPDATE IT ERROR?

The new layout will not accept the due date of invoices or bills in accrual accounting that is before the date of the invoice or bill. Today is 05/08/2024, I am creating an invoice date for 7/21/2024, our normal due date is 90 days before which makes the due date 4/22/2024. QBO WILL NOT RECORD THIS, it will continuously say "!Please Enter a Valid Due Date". The Same problem exists with bills with the due date being 60 days before 7/21/2024. This is preventing me from recording 22 transactions at the current moment, is anybody else experiencing this ? What is being done about this? This was a problem BEFORE the mandatory switch and now it is severally effecting my company and the capabilities of it. When reaching out to someone, I was told IT is aware and working on it but if the problem has existed for at least a month, and now no one can revert back to the old format, then where does that leave the users who rely on Intuit to get it right to run our businesses?

PLEASE ENTER A VALID DUE DATE; 2024 UPDATE IT ERROR?

Welcome to the Community, SunnyInOhio. I appreciate your detailed information and screenshot.

I've reviewed our ongoing investigation about subscribers encountering a "Please enter a valid due date." message, which prevents them from using a due date prior to their invoice date in the new invoicing layout, and can confirm Intuit's Product Investigations team is currently working towards a solution.

Since you've spoke with our Customer Care team, who informed you about the investigation, the agent you worked with should've added your account to it as an affected user. This ensures you'll receive email communications about any updates relating to our investigation.

If you're unsure whether your account was added as an affected user or not, I'd recommend getting back in touch with our Customer Care team to confirm if you've been added to the investigation. Be sure to reference the investigation's case number (INV-104283) once you're connected with an agent. This will enable them to locate it easily and verify if an account you own is linked with it.

For the time being, our investigation states the only known workaround is switching back to your old layout, if you have the option to do so. Some subscribers no longer have an option to switch between invoicing layouts, and don't have a workaround currently.

If you can't revert to your old invoice creation layout, I'd recommend submitting feedback about the topic for now.

Here's how:

  1. Use the Gear icon, then go to Feedback.
  2. Enter your suggestion(s) in the Have feedback? window.
  3. If necessary, attach a file with your Camera icon.
  4. Select Next.

Your feedback's definitely valuable to Intuit. It will be reviewed by our Product Development team and considered in future updates. You can stay up-to-date with the latest news about your product by reviewing Intuit's Product Updates webpage.

I've also included a detailed resource about working with invoices which may come in handy moving forward: See what’s new with invoices

Please feel welcome to send a reply if there's any additional questions. Have a wonderful Wednesday!

PLEASE ENTER A VALID DUE DATE; 2024 UPDATE IT ERROR?

I'm confused on how giving feedback on a problem i have already given feedback on actually helps the initial problem. But thanks.
