“Preview” invoice button broken

After creating an invoice on Quickbooks Self-Employees app, opening it up and clicking “Preview” in the very top right to show the PDF, nothing happens. I have to email myself the link an go through the steps to generate the PDF. This Preview button has been broken for some time now and would like to know when the fix will happen. Thank you

“Preview” invoice button broken

Hi,

First try clearing the app’s cache or reinstalling the QuickBooks Self-Employed app to rule out a local glitch. Also, make sure your app is fully updated, sometimes these issues get patched in the latest releases.

If it still doesn't work, you can check QuickBooks' status page or their support team to see if it's a known bug with an expected fix. In the meantime, using the email workaround is probably the best option.

“Preview” invoice button broken

We can perform some troubleshooting steps so you can utilize the Preview button on your invoice again, @raw designs. I've outlined the details below.

First, let's refresh your QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) application to remove the older cache that might be causing this odd behavior.

For the IOS version:

  1. Tap Settings, then locate General.
  2. Select iPhone Storage, then click the QBSE app.
  3. Press Offload App.

For Android:

  1. Go to the Menu icon, then tap More Options ⋮.
  2. Tap Settings, then Refresh Data.
  3. Select YES to confirm.

Alternatively, you can uninstall and re-install the mobile app to ensure you get the most recent version of the application. While the QBSE mobile app has already been discontinued in the Google Play Store, you still have the option to redownload the previously purchased app on your device. Check out this article for more information: QuickBooks Self-Employed mobile app availability update.

If the issue persists, I recommend contacting our live QBSE customer care team for additional assistance. They possess the necessary secured tools to access your account for further investigation.

In the meantime, you can log in to your account using a web browser and utilize the Preview button on your invoices.

Furthermore, you can personalize your invoices right in the form itself to make it look more professional.

You can drop by this thread again if you have any further questions or concerns about invoices or using the app in general. We're committed to providing you with the best possible experience.
