Boy, am I having a difficult time! QB 2014 for Mac was perfect for me. However, I had to update my Apple operating system on two computers to High Sierra, and 2014 won't work. I downloaded a 30 day version of 2019 and find it quite confusing. For example, I used to be able to execute a search by selecting Find and then entering the parameters that were pertinent to the search. No longer-or at least I can't figure out how to do this. Can someone help me? Have you made the migration from 2014 to 2019? What issues did you face? Currently, I'm keeping my old operating system ad 2014 on my laptop. Hoping to be able to figure this one out! Thank you. Gary

Thanks, Michelle. This was helpful. So...I'll ask a follow up!!! Can I set up a report that only shows a single account-"Laundry Room Sales," for example, or "Commissions," and save them as Memorized Reports?
We're glad to have you back, @garyeskow.
Yes, you can set up a report that will only generate a single account. Then, save it as one of your memorized reports.
You can use filters, date ranges, and other features to customize the data on the report so you see what most important to you. I'd be glad to walk you through completing this task. Here's how:
For more details and tips, I'd still recommend checking the article shared by my colleague. You can go to page 208 - 216 to get more ideas.
Also, If you want to print some of your reports, click Print at the bottom of the Report Center or press Command-P to fit the entire report on one page. Lastly, you can visit here for additional information: Customize reports in QuickBooks Desktop for Mac.

Thanks very much for this...will study!
This works...except I can't see where I can save the changes...Apply, yes, Save, no!
Disregard last post...I figured it out!!!
Doggone it, Michelle. I think I've done everything right! I want to check deposits by Account/Date Range/Memo. The report-an edit of the P+L template, doesn't show any entries within my date range. Why? Should I be starting with a different Template?
Thank you!
GE
I may be crazy, but I think I've discovered a glitch in the software---I can't search by the Memo field, when modifying a P+L Detail Report...the Search function won't accept this criteria.
I appreciate you for getting back to this thread, @garyeskow. Allow me to chime in and clarify things for you.
It's possible that the template you run will not show the entries you want. If you wish to check deposits by Account/Date Range/Memo, I suggest using a different template.
You can generate Deposit Detail Reports to see the paid amount on your statement.

Amazing that you folks respond as you do...having a martini, listening to "La Boheme" on Spotify. Will check this out ASAP. Thanks so much!
Thanks for all your help, Michelle. I was able to order a copy of QB Pro 2019 from F. Lux after making sure that the trial versions worked on both of my computers. Gary E.
