Join nowGood Day,
Trying to ship internationally via FedEx using Shipping Manager in Quickbooks Enterprise 22.00. When doing so we are getting an error "Unkown Service Type" when trying to create the label, ...and this is no matter the service we choose. I never had an issue with this until upgrading from QBDE 21 to QBDE 22.
For whatever its worth, for the past year or two, whenever creating an international label with UPS you have to reboot to create your next label that is domestic, otherwise ship manager give you an error about NAFTA info missing for your domestic shipment...obvious glitch. ....work around being restarting quickbooks.
Tried resetting Ship Manager and renaming the DB folder located at: (User\AppData\Roaming\Intuit\ShipManager).
Tried Repairing QB Install
Tried Uninstall and Reinstalling QB.
Any help or insight is greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your time
Chris
Hello there, mrxtreme28.
I appreciate you letting us know the result of the troubleshooting steps you've performed on your end. I want to ensure this issue is resolved, so you can get back to business. With this said, I recommend contacting FedEx support. They have the specific tools to check your account in a secure environment and help fix the Unkown Service Type error you encounter when creating a label.
To contact them, visit this article: Intuit QuickBooks Shipping Manager. And go to the FedEx section. From there, you'll see how to reach out the FedEx support.

Thank you for your quick reply. The only links and #'s I can find are to setup a new account
Good to see you back!
I'll share other steps to ensure that you're routed to the right support team to perform what you need.
You have two options to contact FedEx. One is thru a FedEx Advantage specialist, and the other is via Virtual Support Assistant.
To talk to a FedEx Advantage specialist, see this link for their phone number: https://advantagemember.van.fedex.com/oe-error.php.
To talk to FedEx Virtual Support Assistant, visit this link and choose your location to type your concern: https://www.fedex.com/en-us/customer-support.html.
That's it! If there's anything else I can do for you, don't hestitate to comment below. I'm more than happy to answer it for you. Take care and have a great day!
The first link / phone number has nothing to do with my inquiry, it for setting up an alliance account for better pricing.... The second link listed is broken. Thank you for your attempt at helping me, I will keep digging and see what I can figure out on my own.
The problem is in the script, which I can not modify on my end because it is stored on the quickbooks side.
Quick Books Ship manager is calling for:
<ServiceType>FEDEX_INTERNATIONAL_PRIORITY_EXPRESS</ServiceType>
were as FedEx identifies this service as:
<ServiceType>INTERNATIONAL_PRIORITY</ServiceType>
and so on for the rest of the services.
The work around I found was to use the F2 function (bottom center of the shipping manager window) and checking one service at a time, this approach uses the correct identifier so FedEx can return a result.
