Hello SamLevy,

 

Regarding with the investigation number, this is still worked on by the Microsoft and QuickBooks engineers. The workaround to get rid of the error is:

  1. Uninstall and reinstall the Microsoft Office 365
  2. Repair QuickBooks

You can contact the Microsoft Office's support to assist you with Step 1. Meanwhile, you can follow the detailed instructions in this link for Step 2: Repair your QuickBooks Desktop for Windows.

 

Also, you can still reach out to our Customer Care Team for any updates about the investigation. They can add your profile to the list of affected users who'll receive updates. 

  1. Click Help at the top menu and select QuickBooks Desktop Help.
  2. Select Contact us and then enter that you get Reminder prompts. 
  3. Select Continue
  4. Choose either to Message an Agent or Talk to a Specialist

I repair QB installation., and it fixed the issue., although I can't update Quickbooks because this what make the issues appear so technically the is still a problem

However, you can contact our Customer Support Team to receive updates and ask them to add you to the affected user's list that my colleague stated above.

Sam,

I am now having the same problem, July 2022. Did you find a resolution? I've done everything except re-install microsoft office. I would like to know if that worked before I tackle that challenge!

I never had any issues until 7/28/22. 

I was on with QB customer support for 1.5 hrs last week.... they just told me my laptop processor was too slow! I've used QB on the same computer since 2020. I also installed on a newer laptop with a faster processor, and still got similar issues, except it froze up completely when I tried to email... instead of shutting down.

Updating the QuickBooks Desktop release version is a good start when it comes to fixing program-related issues. After that, let's make sure to right-click the app and Run as Administrator when re-opening QuickBooks.

 

If you're still getting the same issue, we can run the QuickBooks Install Diagnostic Tool (QBInstall Tool). This will help us identify any component issues related to your QuickBooks Desktop. Here's how:

 

1. Download the QuickBooks Install DiagnosticTool.

2. When prompted, save the file to the local Desktop.

3. Close any open programs and run the QBInstall Tool.
Note: It may take up to 20mins to complete, depending on your internet speed and computer's performance.

4. Restart the computer after running the tool to ensure the components are properly updated.
