Thank you I found late last night. I'm not sure why it was so hard to find. I hate that it was discontinued but glad I won't lose my client information. Shopify needs to update their site to include this in the migration.

Thank you for sharing your concern here in the Community, @Meadows1982.

I'm glad you've contacted our Live Support Team to help further investigate the issue you're having. I've got some insights to share about fixing your license number or product number in QuickBooks.

To ensure that we are on the same page, would you mind telling me more details about the specific issue related to your License or Product number?

If you have forgotten your license or product number, I can assist you in locating it. We have stored your information if you registered before. Rest assured that we are doing this to help you locate information quickly using our tool. To proceed, visit this page: Locate Your License or Product Number.

From there, type in the Business email or Business phone you used when purchasing. Depending on which you choose, you'll receive an email with the product license number. Once done, click the Find license and product number button.

For QuickBooks Desktop (Pro, Premier, or Enterprise) :

  1. Access QuickBooks Desktop and press the F2 key.
  2. In the Product Information window look for your product name, product number, and license number.
  3. Look for your release at the end of the product name.
Tip: If you bought a digital version of QuickBooks Desktop from our website, your product info is the original purchase confirmation email.
  4. Look for your version in the Version Used on File section. The list is sorted by date with the oldest version at the top and most recent at the bottom.

Another way to access or view your license number is via CAMPS. As long as you registered your product, you can always get your info online. Visit your account management portal (CAMPS) to get your product and license number. If you purchased QuickBooks from a retail store, look for this label on the original packaging next to the UPC Code.

You can check out this article for more detailed steps: Find QuickBooks Desktop license info.

For future use, I'm  adding these articles to help you more with navigating within the product and resolving errors:

Thanks for coming to the Community. I look forward to being able to help you with your license or product number any concerns you may have regarding QuickBooks. Have a great day!

Thanks for your reply. When I put in the product code and click next it gives me a "Invalid offering code" and lists my product code.

I appreciate your detailed information about what's going on, Meadows1982. I'm here to help you with your license or product number in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) Point of Sale (POS) software.

To begin with, the error message you received suggests that you have used an inaccurate product code while installing the product. However, if you're fully confident about your code, you'll want to ensure the time and date on your system are correct, as this can cause the installer to fail when validating system requirements or licenses.

Here's how to update your date and time settings:

  1. Close your QuickBooks Desktop.
  2. Right-click the time display on the Windows taskbar, then select Adjust Date/Time.
  3. Check if your date and time settings are correct. If they are, move on to the next solution. If not, continue with steps 4 to 8.
  4. Select the Date & Time tab, then set the date for the current year.
  5. Click Apply, then OK.

Moreover, ensure you're logged in with administrative privileges. If you're still getting the error, I recommend a clean install of QBDT POS. This process will remove installation issues and ensure a fresh process.

Here's how:

  1. Uninstall your QuickBooks Point of Sale.
  2. Rename all Point of Sale folders.
  3. Reinstall the Point of Sale.
  4. Restore your company file.

I've also included an article to help you learn features in the QBDT 2024 release and how to use them to benefit your business: What's New in the Latest QBDT Version.

Please keep us posted if you need additional assistance performing the troubleshooting steps.

Thanks for clarifying your concern, Meadows. Let's work together to fix this error message.

The Invalid offering code error message appears when you try to open or register QuickBooks Desktop Point of Sale (POS). Also, it arises when you try installing the QuickBooks application, causing the procedure to fail. Since the program doesn't work until you input the correct product number or code, let's dive into the reasons behind the program's invalid offering code message and the recommended solutions.

Here are the leading reasons behind the Invalid offering code of QuickBooks POS:

  • The Point of Sale Entitlement folder includes files that have been compromised.
  • You have used an inaccurate product code while installing the product.
  • You are not logged in with administrative privileges.
  • The time and date on your system is incorrect.
  • Crucial authentication files are damaged or missing.
  • The validation code is incorrect, or the service is temporarily unavailable.

To resolve this, we can start by deleting the contents of the entitlement client folder, either automatically or manually.

Automatic Process:

  1. Download the Clear Entitlement File tool.
  2. Unzip the file and extract the contents to your desktop.
  3. Double-click on the file with your mouse and run it.
  4. Open QBPOS again and finish the registration.

Manual Process:

  1. Hit the folder icon on the Desktop or System Tray to access File Explorer.
  2. Access the View tab and hit Hidden Items.

Then, follow the procedure below to resolve the error. I can guide you on how:

  1. Press the Windows key +, and launch Windows Explorer.
  2. Access C:\Program Data\Intuit\Entitlement Client\v8.
  3. Use Ctrl + A to click all the files in the folder, then press Delete.
  4. Confirm the procedure by selecting Yes.
  5. Restart QBPOS and complete the registration.

If the issue persists, I suggest contacting our Customer Support Team again. This way, they can pull up your account securely and check the cause of the problem.

Additionally, ensure your computer meets the system requirements to guarantee the program runs seamlessly. Then, visit our Downloads & Updates page to download your version of POS.

Furthermore, I'll share this article to help you export information in your file using MS Excel: Import and export data in QuickBooks Desktop.

We'd love to hear from you if you need additional guidance installing your QBPOS. I'll get back to you right away to continue assisting you.
