Hello there, @Super. Thanks for visiting the Community space. Let me help you fix your QuickBooks Point of Sale.

There are a few possible reasons why the performance of your software is lagging or delayed. One could be that Windows admin permission was not given to POS software. To resolve this, you have to run the QBPOSAdminUtility on your computer where it is installed to fix the issue.

Before doing so, let's ensure that your QuickBooks Desktop Point of Sale is updated to the latest release. Doing this will sure that you're able to download critical product updates.

To update it, here's how:

  1. Sign in to your point of sale system as an admin.
  2. Go to the Help menu at the top.
  3. Select Software Update.
  4. Click Updater Preference.
  5. Choose the General tab.
  6. Click Automatically download updates.
  7. When done, select OK.

To run the QBPOSAdminUtility, see these steps:

  1. Download the utility to a location on your computer. Make sure to do this for each server and client workstation that has Point of Sale installed and will process credit cards.
  2. Right-click on the QBPOSAdminUtility.exe and select option Run as administrator.
  3. Once the utility runs and is successful, click OK button to complete the process.

In addition, I suggest checking your computer, if it meets the system requirements. To know more about the POS configurations to run it seamlessly, see this article: System requirements for QuickBooks Desktop Point of Sale.

I've also included some articles that'll guide you whenever you encounter any error messages in the future:

Keep me posted should you need further assistance. I'm determined to help you succeed. Have a great day.
