I have 2021 now cannot get into it. Updated to 2024. The person who worked here has been gone for 6 years and no idea how he was primary admin. I need my books and locked out. just need the basic program and of course with my files anyone help?!

When I select the company file it says That your qb subscription has lapsed. So will not let me do that.

Since we no longer have a connection to the primary admin who initially handled your company file, let's regain this access first before we reactivate your QBDT and log into it.
To request to be the primary admin, we'll need to gather documents to support your request as the current rightful owner. The document you will need to submit will depend on your business type. You can go over to Step 1: Gather documents for your request and drill down your appropriate business type under the Determine the type of business section in this article: Request to be the primary admin or contact.
After that, proceed to Step 2: Complete the form in the same article to fill out the request form. Also, make sure to log into your Intuit account on your browser's latest version to access it. Afterward, you'll receive the status of your request through the email you used for your appeal.
