Quickbooks Data protect fails after moving company file off a onedrive location on my computer.

I had issues with onedrive on my windows 10 PC.  I moved a bunch of files off one drive to try to stop using it all together.  With QBs support's assistance, I moved my company file to a new location away from the C:\Users\danie\OneDrive\Documents\2022 location on my C drive to a new location C:\Users\danie\Documents\quick books.  Since then quickbooks backup has failed to work correctly and give me repeated error messages. I have not idea if the recent change in location is causing errors or not.  Fortunately I do not rely on quickbooks data protect, but use in as an adjunct to making manual backups and storing them on my NAS and having a backup utility on the NAS to also backup my accounting.  But I believe in redundant backup ups and would like this to work because it worked fine before I moved the company file.  There is very little in the FAQ that is useful to this situation.

For me to be able to provide you with the right issue resolution, could you please tell me what error messages you're getting while trying to backup your file? It would be best if you can send me a screenshot as well.

Quickbooks Data protect fails after moving company file off a onedrive location on my computer.

Hello, and thank you for taking time to look at my issue.  I am not sure if OneDrive is the culprit or if it something else I discovered while wrestling with OneDrive.  Attached are 2 images.  One is the email I get.  The other is the history screen from one drive.  There are a bunch of failures

Thanks for coming back and providing us with in-depth details of your concern, danbpc.

I appreciate you for providing us with a screenshot of your concern. Based on the screenshot provided by Intuit Data Protect Team, some files did not back up successfully since they are not reachable or open. To fix issues when you can’t back up your QuickBooks Desktop data file with Intuit Data Protect, we'll need to make sure the Windows firewall isn’t blocking Intuit Data Protect. Here's how:

  1. Press the Windows key on your keyboard, and type Firewall in the search field.
  2. Tap Allow an app through Windows Firewall, then Allow another app.
  3. Hit Browse and go to Program Files(x86)\Common Files\Intuit\Data Protect.
  4. Select QBIDPservice.exe, then Open.
  5. Choose Network types and hit the Private checkbox. Tap Add.
  6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 for the files IBUenghost.exe and IntuitDataProtect.exe. If you get a message saying the files already exist, you’re all set.

Then, add Intuit Data Protect to your Trusted Sites. Just ensure Intuit websites are trusted sites in Internet Explorer. Let me show you how:

  1. Press the Windows key on your keyboard, and type Internet options in the search field.
  2. Click Security, then Trusted sites.
  3. Choose Sites and add the following websites. You can copy and paste, or type them manually. Tap Add for each site.
    • backup.com
    • *.intuit.net
    • *.intuit.com
    • *.intuitdataprotect.com
    • *.quickbooks.com
    • workplace.intuit.com
    • emerald.backup.com (a new trusted site that updates your Intuit Data Protect certificates)
  1. Make sure the Require server verification (https: ) for all sites in this zone is unchecked.
  2. Press Close, then OK.
  3. Make sure you can open the Intuit Data Protect certificate site. You need to be able to open this to avoid errors with your backups.
  4. Try to back up with Intuit Data Protect. If it’s still not working, continue to the next solution.
