I am using QB desktop (11)... When I try to get backup of the company file, it creates a QBTempBackup.tm which is can't be read or restored later to the QB. in mean, time it is no longer generates the normal backup file !!
Can you help please.
Try opening the sample file or create a dummy one. Are you able to create the backup file?
Hi,
Sorry, I don't get your point.
You are unable to create any backup file on your primary file, correct?
You can open the sample company file or create a new file to isolate the issue. If you can create backup files, your primary file may be damaged.
I got your point, and created a sample company file, but unfortunately, it also creates a temp backup file. same as the primary company file !!!
Which Windows OS do you run? If you are using Win 10 or 8.1, consider to reinstall your QBD in compatibility mode Win 7.
No, I am using Window7.
Half of our team is still running QBD 2013 in Win 7 compatibility mode on Win 10. We tried running the backup function and found no issues. You should consider to reinstall your QBD 2011. Another option, we may share the trial license for QBD 2012 to let you compare it.
Ok, please provide me with the trial license of QBD 2012.
Thanks for your kind cooperation.
Regards
