QuickBooks Desktop Damaged Company File.

Hello!

Please I recovered my Company file using a data recovery software. I tried to upload it but got information that the data has a error, I then used file doctor to repair but still could not have access to the data. Kindly help.

QuickBooks Desktop Damaged Company File.

Let me help you repair the company file, TDK Ewusi.

 

It's a good job to use the QuickBooks File Doctor. Aside from that tool, we have the Verify/Rebuild utility. It helps us detect the data damage. Here's how:

  1. Click File.
  2. Go to Utilities, then choose Verify Data.
  3. If QuickBooks detected no problems, there's no further action needed. If you receive a message, "Your data has lost integrity," the file is damaged. Just continue to Rebuild Data to correct the problem.
  4. When you Rebuild Data, you'll receive a message to back up your company file, just click OK. The utility starts as soon as the backup is finished.
  5. Click OK when you get the message "Rebuild has completed."
  6. Run Verify Data again to check for remaining data damage.

Thanks @Kristine Mae for your feed back. The error starts at the company Data restore level so there's no data to be rebuild.

I appreciate you for trying the steps provided by my colleagues above. Since the troubleshooting steps didn't work, I'd recommend contacting our Customer Care Support  to have this investigated. They have the tools capable of pulling up your account in a secure environment, which we are unable to do so here in the Community for security reasons.   

 

Here's how: 

 

  1. Open QuickBooks.
  2. Go to Help, then select QuickBooks Desktop Help.
  3. Select Contact Us.
  4. Give a brief description of your issue, then select Let's talk and then choose a way to connect.

Contact Data Service to fix your file. Otherwise, you have to purchase a 3rd party file repair service.
