Issue: QuickBooks Desktop for Windows freezes when trying to email or print 

 

Root cause: Common theme identified is a Windows 10 update KB4560960 which was released on 6/9, and the use of jpg logos in the QuickBooks template.

 

What can you do now? 

Microsoft did release an update KB4567512 to help resolve issues with KB4560960 .  If this update doesn't resolve your issue, then your two options are:

  1. Change the file type of your logo in QuickBooks from JPG to PNG, or
  2. Edit the form template and uncheck the Use Logo option to remove the logos
  3. Uninstall the KB4560960 update in Windows 10

**UPDATE**

Microsoft just release a new update for Windows 10 versions 1903,1909, and 2004 to resolve this issue. 

 

KB4565483 (1903 and 1909) and KB4565503 (2004) was released 7/14/20 and can be downloaded by going to Updates & Security under Settings in Windows.
