QuickBooks Desktop Pro 2020 Cannot access invoices 20-2069 to 20-2123

Hello there, @sm61.

I'm here to help ensure you can access your invoices in your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).

Are you getting some error messages when trying to access them? Any additional information will help me provide the best resolution for your concern.

In the meantime, let's run the QuickBooks built-in diagnostic and repair tools called rebuild and verify data utilities. These tools will repair and notify you of any possible data damage within the file.

Here's how:

  1. Go to File, then select Utilities and Rebuild Data.
  2. Choose OK. Follow the prompts to save a backup.
  3. Click OK once completed.
  4. Now, go back to File, then Utilities, and select Verify Data this time.

If QB detected no problem with your data, hit OK. However, if it finds an issue, you will be prompted to Rebuild Now or View Errors. Choose Close, then perform the steps below.

Here's how:

  1. Locate and check the QBWin.log or QuickBooks.log files.
  2. Scroll to the bottom for the most recent Verify information.
  3. Find the line that contains the LVL_ERROR, then check Top data damage errors in QuickBooks Desktop.

For additional information about the process, consider checking out this article: Fix data damage on your QuickBooks Desktop company file.

Reach out to me if you have additional questions about invoices or anything else QuickBooks. I'm always ready to help.

QuickBooks Desktop Pro 2020 Cannot access invoices 20-2069 to 20-2123

Thank you FritzF for your kindness and timely reply.

QB rebuild results were 0 issues found.

QB detected no problems with data.

QB does not have the missing invoices.

20-2069 - 20-2123

This is the error messages within a folder previously received on my desktop.

Unfortunately, I deleted them because I didn't know what they were.

Thanks for sharing the error message that you're getting, sm61. We have more steps to share that can resolve common program issues in QuickBooks.

I also want to ask if you received this error inside QuickBooks or in the folders within your computer? This is just to make sure that we identify what's causing the issue and prevent this from happening again.

In the meantime, you can also use the QuickBooks Tool Hub aside from using the Verify/Rebuild data Utility Tool. This will help us check and resolve some of the most common program or data issues that might have prevented you from opening the invoices. Here's how:

  1. Close QuickBooks.
  2. Download the most recent version (1.5.0.0) of the QuickBooks Tool Hub. Save the file somewhere you can easily find it (like your Downloads folder or your Windows desktop). Note: If you've already installed Tool Hub before, you can find out which version you have. Select the Home tab.  The version will be displayed on the bottom right or you can select About to view the version.
  3. Open the file you downloaded (QuickBooksToolHub.exe).
  4. Follow the on-screen steps to install and agree to the terms and conditions.
  5. When the install finishes, double-click the icon on your Windows desktop to open the tool hub.

Once opened, select Company File Issues. This will open the Quick Fix my file and the QuickBooks File Doctor tool. If you need more help, select File Dr Help on the company file tab. Then, do the same in the Program Problems tab to resolve any program issues.

Just in case you're still getting the same error, I would recommend reaching out to our Technical Support Team. They can take a closer look at this to check what's causing the error. Please go to this article to get their contact details: Contact QuickBooks Desktop Support.
