Quickbooks Desktop update estimate with current pricing

I reuse a lot of estimates. I will often go back to an old estimate and copy it to a new customer. The problem is that prices change, and I can't figure out how to update pricing in the estimate to what is current in my Item List. Right now, I have to figure out the new price for each and every line item (there are often many, many items) and manually enter them in the new estimate. Is there an easier way?

Quickbooks Desktop update estimate with current pricing

I’m delighted to have you here in the Community, @whighfill. I’ll share some insights about updating estimates prices to the current pricing in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).

Currently, this option is not yet available in QBDT. For items on existing estimates, you'll have to manually update them. Nonetheless, it will provide the most recent pricing for the newly created estimate.

Rest assured that our product developers are always open to suggestions to improve our products and are able to meet our customers’ business needs.

Thus, I recommend that you send your feedback directly to our product engineers. They will be able to consider this option and assist you with your business demands in this manner.

You can send feedback by following these steps:

  1. Click the Help menu located at the top.
  2. Choose the Send Feedback Online then click Product Suggestion.
  3. Type in your feedback or feature request.
  4. Click the Send Feedback button.

Also, I added this article to your reference when checking the latest updates about the product: The QuickBooks Blog

Let me know in the comments should you have any further questions about sales transactions. I’m hoping your business will prosper. Have a great day!

It is utterly ridiculous to me that such a simple function is not available. I might as well be using Excel, instead. Yeah, I can make all the suggestions in the world to the product developers, but it will take years to see anything implemented if they even bother. I've never seen anything suggested actually show up.
