QUICKBOOKS DESKTOP

I appreciate you for performing some steps, JETIA.

I understand how it feels when you've been circling around to resolve the encountered issue. We want to ensure you have a better experience than this. Thus, I'm here to provide all the necessary information to rectify your concerns.

Since you mentioned that you've been using QuickBooks since 2004, I'll take that you're using the old version of the software. If so, this might be the reason why you're unable to switch between companies. An outdated one won't receive product updates that fix data-related issues.

You might want to upgrade your QuickBooks Desktop software to receive the latest critical security patches and updates. We will begin by opening and upgrading your file to the 2007 version, then proceed to 2010, 2013, 2016, 2019, and finally to either 2022 or 2023. After opening the file in each version, remember to create a backup copy and restore it to the next version, until you can successfully restore and open it in either QuickBooks 2022 or 2023.

If you feel uncomfortable doing these steps, you can contact our customer support so an agent can guide you through the process.

Moreover, you can check this article on how to update your company file after switching to the latest QuickBooks Desktop: Update your company file so it works in newer versions of QuickBooks Desktop.

Keep me posted whenever you have concerns about your QuickBooks file.

To @JETIA :    I was having the issues switching companies, up until the release of the update that finally fixed it that the moderator JAMACIA posted. And then it just resolved on it's own when it did an auto update, and upon restart of my computer.   One of the moderators is trying to have you upgrade all the way up till  2023.    That was what I was already using, and it was still doing that until they finally listened to us and fixed it with the update.  Now QB wants me to already upgrade to 2024 Desktop!!! Just upgraded to 2023 at the price of like $1500 bucks think it was a few months ago.  When does this squeeze stop?  Hope you get your problem resolved.
